Neon Knights is a grand project led by it’s creator Mark Iversen, this video was the result of a small “Virtual Production” running roughly 6 months.
What is especially interesting about this project is that the scene is running real-time, no pre rendering and full control of the world while the cutscene is running.
The project was made with the Unreal Engine, and I worked on the technical aspects of it. This consisted of many different tasks such as optimization, shaders, triggering animations, a subtitle system, particles and I also implemented the digital transition effect in the video, where the entire environment gets applied a digital shader.
The world of Neon Knights is still being worked on, now under the company name Eddaheim.
